About Us

Currently teaching in Paris, we have worked on the international school circuit for several years. We decided to set up TeacherHomeSwap because, frankly, it seemed amazing that such a service didn’t exist already. There were plenty of home exchange services on the internet, but none specifically tailored to the international school teacher. Yet, more than any other professionals, we get frequent, long holidays and most of us are keen to travel as widely as possible. Then there’s the fact that many of us live in top quality homes, thanks to pretty generous housing allowances. This all means that loads of high quality accommodation around the world stands empty and unused for around 15 weeks of the year.

The purpose of TeacherHomeSwap is to match teachers with available properties and save them considerable sums of money on hotel accommodation. Since TeacherHomeSwap is a service exclusively for international school teachers, you’re likely to find potential swappers who’ll be on holiday at the same time as you, making the whole exchange much easier to organise. Not only that, but you’ll also get the chance to experience your chosen destination as a local, and even scout out your next school.
