10 minutes from Downtown Portland, the house is on a the top of a hill. Large Doug Fir trees surround the community, so it feels secluded from the hustle and bustle of Downtown Portland. The large deck and indoor/outdoor garage gives everyone a place to relax. Families can roast marshmallows in the outdoor firepit or couples can sip Oregon Pinot Noir while watching fire embers. Inside this open concept home is a chef's kitchen and dinning table for 6. When you want to unwind, cozy up to the large corner sectional and watch TV or gaze out the many windows overlooking nature. Perfect for couples or families with children (2 queen beds, 1 twin). There are many things to do in Portland, our home is a 1.5 miles away from Tryon Creek State Park, perfect for the beginner hiker. If you want something more challenging, just over 2 miles away is the Marquam Trail to Council Crest. At the top our your hike a breath taking views of the city and mountains await you. Just down the hill at Willamette park, is a paved river trail to Downtown Portland that can be biked or walked. Make sure to stop at the OHSU aerial tram to get stunning views of the city. If water recreation is more appealing, rent a kayak with Portland Kayak Company and explore the Willamette river. Across the river, Oaks Amusement Park will give the kids a fun day of rides and roller skating. Portland, Oregon is home to great food, breweries, distilleries and wine. Wine country is an hour away and tour vans can pick you up and drop you off through Grape Escape Tours. If you have come to Portland for the food it's hard to go wrong. From food carts to upscale dining Portland is the place to be. Our local Block and Board serves up upscale deli sandwiches within walking distance. Tryon Creek Bar and Grill offers great burgers and fries with pick up options. Market of Choice grocery store offers already made option as well as organic/local groceries. Portland is an hour and half to the Pacific Ocean and about the same distance to the Mt. Hood (which has activities in both the winter and summer months).
